Sim Owner Friendly
Although the scripts in this version are signifigantly more sim friendly, we have enhanced the feature that allows sim owners and the studio owner to temporarily disable scripts in the studio. This comes in handlt when someone is using your studio to grief the sim when you are not there or when the sim is laggy and you or your sim owner needs eliminate any possible scripts to evaluate sim performance. This especially is good if you are offline for a long period of time.
This feature now deals with the issue of group owned regions where there is no one sim owner named. You have the option to enable or disable those group owners to turn the scripts off in your absence.
Unfortunatley LSL does not allow for us to see who the group owner is to only allow that person access, which is why you have the option of allowing group access.
To use this feature:
- Click on the Title Bar above your studio.
- Select “Scripts On” or “Scripts Off”.
To allow/disallow group access when the sim is owned by a group and not one avatar:
- Click on the Title Bar above your studio.
- Select “Group On” or “Group Off”.
Sim Owners
To disable the scripts in the studio when the owner is not available and you need to reduce any possible sources of excess lag:
- Click on the Title Bar above your studio.
- Select “Scripts On” or “Scripts Off”.
The control box will display the text “Scripts Off”, letting the owner of the studio know that the scripts have been turned off. To turn them back on simply follow the instructions above.
Technical Information
The previous version 2.9 displayed a time on average of 0.910 ms while the new version averages at 0.390 ms. This is a significant improvement considering the amount of feature scripting involved!
