N30 Deluxe Modeling Studio v4.0 Quick Start Instructions

— Get started modeling…..

  1. Rez your studio onto the floor/ground.
  2. Wait for it to finish setting itself up.
  3. Right click on the modeling table and choose “Work It”
  4. Click on the arrows in front of the modeling table to change poses.
— Get started changing backgrounds…..
  1. Click on a background on the control center.
  2. It will appear in the preview area.
  3. Click on the preview are to send the background to the canvas.
— Get started using layers…..
  1. On the left of your control panel are 6 buttons.
  2. Click the 2nd button to put your control panels in layer mode
  3. The layers will appear.  Click one to send it to the preview area.
  4. Click the preview area to send the layer to the canvas.
  5. Click the layer for additional options and to turn it off (a menu will appear)
● Get started with basic lighting…..
  1. Notice the light bulb and color palette icons beneath the color grid on your control center.
  2. The large light bulbs control the forward lights while the small bulbs on the bottom control the rear lights.  The color palette turns color mode on for that lighting set.
  3. Click on the large yellow bulb 3 times to see all 3 preset lighting  intensities.
  4. Click on the color palette then click anywhere on the color grid above to change the color of all forward lights at once.
  5. Click on the white bulb to turn these lights off.
  6. You can do the same functions with the rear lights by using the smaller light bulb icons beneath.
  7. The numbers 1 – 5 represent preconfigured lighting positions.  Clicking on each will move your lights, 1 is the default position.

— Get started sizing the studio…..

  1. Do NOT use the scaling/stretch feature in edit mode to resize your studio.
  2. Click on the tall and wide background buttons located on the bottom row of the control center.
  3. There are 4 heights.  The last one being suitable for a child avatar or tiny.
  4. There are 4 widths.  The last one being suitable for a child avatar or tiny.
